The mission of the Rashtriya Shishu Vikas Kendra is to ensure the holistic development of every infant and child in the country, in accordance with the Government of India’s policies on child welfare and social development. The institute aims to integrate, strengthen, and make accessible health, nutrition, education, protection, and developmental services during early childhood, so that children receive a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment at the very beginning of life.
The mission of the center is to strengthen the effective implementation, coordination, and monitoring of central government schemes and programs related to infant and child development, with a focused approach on children from deprived, vulnerable, and marginalized sections. This includes improving child health and nutrition levels, promoting early childhood education, safeguarding child rights, and encouraging the participation of parents and the community.
Rashtriya Shishu Vikas Kendra is to promote inclusive and sustainable development through transparency, accountability, and a results-oriented approach.
